Sweet Peas (Untitled)
Lathyrus odoratus - 'Valerie Harrod'.
This delicate study of three sweet pea stems captures the soft rose pink of their petals. Known for their intoxicating fragrance, sweet peas were first cultivated in Sicily in the 17th century and have since become a symbol of blissful pleasure and gratitude. Their climbing tendrils make them a favourite in cottage gardens.

'Wildflowers of Farthinghoe'
A joyful composition of wildflowers representing the unbridled beauty of the countryside.
Vicia sativa - 'Common Vetch', Cardamine pratensis - 'Cuckoo flower', Veronica chamaedrys - 'Bird's eye speedwell', Trifolium pratense - 'Red Clover', Rosa caanina - 'Dog Rose'.
Painted from the wildflowers growing in Farthinghoe Nature Reserve, Northants - which was once a part of a railway between Brackley and Banbury and has been transformed into a beautiful oasis for wildflowers and wildlife.

'Rousham Gate'
